"Why would a loving God send people to Hell?"
I've heard that question ask countless of times, to the point that I've lost count. That question can be hard to answer if you don't know the right answer. Oftentimes you will answer something along the line as, "God doesn't send people to Hell, we're sending ourselves to Hell." But that answer tends to lose people because they don't want to hear it. It's hard truth but the moment you start explaining that it is the truth that it's our sinful way of living that leads us to Hell, they stop listening and they don't want to hear you, or perhaps they'll follow up your answer with something like, "Well, I believe God is all loving, and I believe that everyone will go to Heaven, because why would a loving God send people to Hell if He wasn't loving." But they are only half right. God is all loving, yes. A matter of fact, God is so loving, that He does not want to force you into Heaven. He doesn't want to force His love on you. A matter of fact, God wants you to come to Him of your freewill. That is what a loving God does. So yes if we don't come to God of our own free will, and we keep on living in sin because we are blinded from the Truth. Then it is of our doing why we go to Hell. It's because we've denied God. It's because we've denied His love. That's the reason why good people go to Hell. To put it in simpler term, why would you allow someone into your house who denies you, who rejects you, who disrespects you, hates you, and why would you force them into your house if they did not want to come of their freewill? What kind of a loving God is that? I don't know about you, but the loving God that I believe, thought of us worthy enough to be given the gift of freewill, so that He doesn't have to force Himself upon us, but instead for us to come to Him freely on our own. If you ask me, that sounds more like a loving God. Because I'm hearing God saying, "Come to My house." But thanks to freewill, it's our choice to accept His invite or reject it. Oh and uh, God isn't forcing Hell on us either, we're heading that way on our own, but God made a way so that the good people don't have to go to Hell. There's a reason why He had His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. The truth is simple, believe in Jesus and there will be no Hell in your future. Because God loves you that much, He gave you the ability to choose for yourself, no one is forcing you.
